Joy for January

Welcome to the middle of January!

The month has started off great with returning participants and much to learn for the coming year!


Celebrate wellness, recovery, and resilience with

My Voice Media Center Project.

This month's theme is “Joy for January”, and the

color of the month is Cerulean Blue.

Our participants are encouraged to incorporate

our monthly themes and colors within their artistic

expression.

The News:

Last Month: “Deciding December”

  • December is welcomed the No Stigma Speakers Bureau who hosted the CIT Training Tour

  • The celebration and holiday was welcomed with a Thursday movie and “pajama day”! (Date: Dec. 22, 2022 from 12-2 PM)

  • Happy New Year!

This Month: “Joy for January”

  • January is a part of new beginnings as we welcome the new year.

  • Participants continue to excel in Guitar every Tuesday from 1-3 PM, performing at the Barrel House

  • The NEW! Thursday movie will be exciting with a new inspiring art video!

  • Happy New Year!

My Voice Media Center (MVMC) offers Photography, Printmaking, Video Editing, Photo Editing, Drawing, Painting, Guitar, 2D and 3D Art, NSSB (No Stigma Speakers Bureau), Peer Support, and other activities. Every “LAST Friday” of the month, we will feature an Art video from 2-3PM!

The goal of the My Voice Media Center is to reduce the stigma of mental illness. We provide a safe and welcoming environment where participants may learn to express themselves through the arts; we provide exhibition and art sale opportunities for our participants; and we help educate the public about mental wellness and recovery.
