From Seeds to Sunlight: MVMC April Update

Greetings from the My Voice Media Center!

Last month, we planted seeds - new ideas, new connections, and new beginnings. This month, we're turning toward the sun. Like a garden beginning to bloom, April is all about nurturing growth. In our sessions, in our connections, and within ourselves. Our color of the month, bumblebee yellow, reflects that energy: bright, hopeful, and full of promise.

Session Spotlight: Visual Voices

We're thrilled to introduce Visual Voices, a new peer support group that blends creativity and conversation. Through engaging activities, interactive games, and guided conversation, this session provides a safe space for self-expression, connection, and community building. Whether you come to create, listen, or share, you'll find support and inspiration. Our first session will be held on April 30th from 12-1pm.

At-Home Activity: Sunlight Sketches

Find a sunny window and place an object (like a plant, a toy, or your hand) on a piece of paper. Trace the shadow it casts throughout the day, watching how it changes. Add color, patterns, or words to reflect how your energy shifts and grows over time.
