We would like to congratulate Arts Consortium, home to My Voice Media Center, on retuning to holding it's First Friday event again. We welcomed the new show as Arts Consortium set up it's first First Friday in a very long while. Several other businesses were involved in the event again, such as the Brandon Mitchell Gallery, Arts Visalia, the Creative Center along with Arts Consortium. It is usually always held on the First Friday of each month and many like to walk to and from the businesses, enjoying the company and art along the way.
Of all things missed during the pandemic, this may have been the most missed by peers, members of the Arts Consortium, and many others who enjoy the arts, the company and the food!
THE SHOW
Arts Consortium was pleased to welcome a show called "Lateral Roots". The show was set up by Amie T. Rangel and Patricia E. Rangel along with Laura Melancon and Saegan Moran Brien.
The show consisted of scholarly achievers in Printmaking, Sculpture and Mixed Media. The installation that appears on the land outside the front of the Arts Consortium is part of an installation project by one of the artists as well as it's counterpart installation inside of the gallery.
The installation was set up over a couple of weeks of preparation and clean-up.
I encourage all those who love to view and enjoy art to come check out the show during the business hours of 10-12PM Tues-Fri. These hours are the hours we have due to the heat wave.
